From learning how to use the pen tool to using Adobe Illustrator we have learned a lot of valuable information which will be valuable skills to have in the marketing world. We have dove in and learned about how color works, from color schemes, to hues and saturation, to whether bold colors or simple colors attract certain demographics. We have learned how typeface is used in the world and how certain typefaces can appeal to different people or demonstrate different things.

The "five that drive" was a main focus the last few weeks. It helped us understand what users need or are looking for, who the users are, why the users are looking for what we offer, and more. This is a pillar for all of our design and should help us align our work to meet with our users needs and wants.

As the weeks went on we really honed our skills in Adobe Illustrator with hands on work, from basic exercise making shapes, to more practice with the pen tool, and all of this really honed our skills to bring concepts to life. The exercises has deepened my understanding of layouts, typography, and color.
