Robots? Dogs? Is this the future of pet ownership? No one actually knows, but what I do know is creating advertisements is not as easy as one thinks and at the same time it may not be as hard as someone thinks it could be. In this portion of our class we learned how to create a advertisement. We made two different designs each one catering to consumers over the age of 55 years old.

When I started the product I started with listing problems or "pain points " people have with animals or why they may not get an animal. After this I then wrote ways a robot could solve this concerns. I then came up with an idea for the name of the company selling this technology and gave the robot a name feeling it could make a person feel more connected to the product. I came up with the name Bolt because I thought of the items used to make the robot and found it fitting. I then worked on a rough draft of what I wanted to offer to the consumer. I used the items on my list of what problems this product could solve in my description. After a rough draft and working on layout such as margins and font as well as font size, I then went in and edited the work to finish a final draft.

My first version of the ads I had a couple suggestions. I originally had the photo at end of the page and all the words above it. It was suggested I have the photo after the title and the rest below. I had another suggestion for my second ad to change the wording a bit and make it flow better. I have attached the ads here and they are the final product.

This has not just been a learning experience, but also a fun experience and gave me a small peek into what creating advertisements would be like and what my future jobs roles could entail.
